The Glory Due His Name (Psalm 96:4-5)

For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. ⁵For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens. —Psalm 96:4-5

“I want to strike two notes: singing and nations—music and missions—for the glory of God. These are what stand out to me from Psalm 96. How shall we think and feel with God about nations and about singing, and how are they related in this psalm and in the age to come? And how are they related to Jesus?” — from John Piper’s sermon “Declare His Glory Among the Nations” on Psalm 96.
